Here at the Chiang Mai Visa Shop, we offer one FREE telephone or email consultation for the basic issues as you may have questions regarding visas or other services that we have listed on our website. We can explain the information and the services over the phone in a simple and easy-to-understand manner.

Our interpretation of a free consolation service is you enquiring and we being able to answer the information enquired within a 10 minutes  approximate time span. Within this time, we will give you the costings for the service you require and advise if we can assist you with your needs.

We do have a high volume of people requiring the free consolation, so in some cases, you may be required to ring back at a convenient time so we can advise to your needs.

Our Company Director, Mr. Laurie Simmons, who is an Australian Citizen, has been living here in Chiang Mai for over 15 years and has integrated into the Thai society, holding a Permanent Residency granted by the Thai Immigration Department.

Only a handful of Foreign Nationals holds this status here in Chiang Mai, as it is too challenging to obtain Permanent Resident Status in the Kingdom.

You can book a time to speak with Mr. Simmons, a retired law enforcement officer from Australia (Australian Federal Police Officer), who has now been working with the Royal Thai Police for the past 15 years, including a variety of departments, including Tourist Police, Local Patrol Police, City Police, Investigation Detective Police, Immigration Police, Crime Investigation, Traffic Police, and Local Law Courts as a court interpreter. Sometimes people living here in Thailand can find themselves on the wrong side of the law like Drunk Driving, Assaults, Victim of Scams, Motor Accidents, and many more issues. In most cases, people will be unaware of the legal processes and procedures at the Police Offices.

Although Mr. Simmons is not a legal attorney, he can advise and consult about the legal process here in Chang Mai with most issues that both Ex-pats and Tourists regularly encounter as he has worked on and seen most of the situations the foreigners get involved in over the years.

Working with such a variety of Thai Government Departments over this long period has given him a wealth of experience and valued knowledge when dealing with police matters and life experiences here in Chiang Mai. He can provide you with direction and advice regarding your situation where you may need assistance.
